Delaware Mansions

The interior of a two-bedroom apartment within Delaware Mansions, a prestigious residential building near Maida Vale Underground Station in London, was completely renovated. The objective was to create a timeless home inspired by English Modern Contemporary design, combining elegance, comfort and practicality. A curated palette of petrol blue and soft taupe tones brings warmth, depth and refined character, while the living room fireplace wall was reimagined as a bespoke illuminated library unit with integrated shelving and concealed lighting.

The concept reinterprets classic English residential character through a contemporary lens, balancing traditional architectural elements with modern living. Space planning improves circulation, storage and openness without losing intimacy, while custom joinery and integrated storage keep the interior uncluttered. Materiality and colour are key tools: rich petrol blue accents add depth and identity, soft taupe surfaces add warmth, and layered lighting enhances the architectural features.
