About Us

Founder

Burcu Şenal

Burcu Şenal graduated from the Department of Architecture at Middle East Technical University in 2010. She shaped her professional career at A Tasarım Mimarlık, which she joined after graduating, within the team led by Ali Osman Öztürk. Over more than ten years she worked across every stage of design, coordination, and construction on mixed-use projects of varying scale and character, and led multidisciplinary project teams.

She carried significant responsibility on landmark projects including Atakule, the Ziraat Bank Headquarters, and the Qatar Embassy in Washington, D.C. Through collaborations with international practices such as KPF and GMP, she developed deep experience in delivering projects to global standards and in bringing different disciplines together around a shared design vision.

Şenal founded HAYA Architecture by combining the breadth of experience she had built over the years with her commitment to sustainable design and technology. Treating architecture as a balanced whole of aesthetics, function, environmental responsibility, and user experience, she sets out in every project to produce spaces that are attentive to their context, timeless, and of high quality.

Today, at HAYA Architecture, she leads every stage from design through to construction with an international outlook and an interdisciplinary approach.

Originality

For us, design is not a ready-made template adapted to different spaces; it is an original process that grows out of each project's own conditions, needs, and story. That is why we shape every project we take on around the character of its site, its climate, its environmental data, its function, and the way the people who will use it live.

Timelessness

Timelessness sits at the centre of how we design. We set out to create spaces that hold their value as technologies, habits, and aesthetic tendencies change — spaces that will read as well in the future as they do today. We treat aesthetics and function, innovation and permanence, as one balanced whole.

Collaboration

We approach each project with the care of a haute couture piece made for one person. We listen closely to our clients' expectations, needs, and dreams, and we put our technical knowledge and the experience of our multidisciplinary team to work in realising that vision as faithfully as possible. From the earliest stage of a project through to completion, we think alongside our clients and investors and develop decisions on shared ground.

Craft

Through this close collaboration, each project takes on an identity that belongs to its place, its people, and its own story. What emerges is not simply an attractive, functional space, but an original, timeless, and singular design in which every detail has been carefully considered.
